A Letter to My girls

21 August 2011

Dear Girlies

On June 23 you both finished school for the summer - that's 59 days ago, or over 8 weeks - it is - go count them.

We had an agreement that you would both tidy and sort your bedrooms before you went to your Dad's for the end of the summer holiday.  You did not do this.  Therefore I have taken matters into my own hands.

I realise that our definitions of rubbish are probably not the same, but hey ho, that's the way the cookie crumbles.  This has cost me two days of my life that I can never get back - you will be paying dearly.

Your loving
Mum xx

PS I do not expect to repeat this ever again

PPS We are now having a new rule - a new thing (toy, clothes etc) in an old thing out

PPPS I did not find any living creature beneath the detritus - I was pleasantly surprised

PPPPS If it was on the floor and small enough to vac - wave it byebyes

I`ve just had to do what Dr Phil calls `commando parenting` with my feral boys and ended up clearing out their rooms. I was rather ruthless and it felt good!
